The Centre also wants to provide as space for Afghans to socialise, get together with friends and have a drink and snacks - after class perhaps or after a long study session in the library.
This pays respect to Ahmad Shah Massoud's social heart who welcomed all people who came to him and who liked to spend time with his friends reciting poetry.
Afghan cities still lack such places and if they exist they are mostly only for foreigners or are a male domain. In our Cafe & Tea House both genders are welcome. If desired ladies can remain in their special women's zone.
